Die For Me (Revenants #1)
Author: Amy Plum
Publisher: HarperTeen
Pages: 352
Rating: 5 Stars!

In the City of Lights, two star-crossed lovers battle a fate that is destined to tear them apart again and again for eternity.

When Kate Mercier's parents die in a tragic car accident, she leaves her life--and memories--behind to live with her grandparents in Paris. For Kate, the only way to survive her pain is escaping into the world of books and Parisian art. Until she meets Vincent.

Mysterious, charming, and devastatingly handsome, Vincent threatens to melt the ice around Kate's guarded heart with just his smile. As she begins to fall in love with Vincent, Kate discovers that he's a revenant--an undead being whose fate forces him to sacrifice himself over and over again to save the lives of others. Vincent and those like him are bound in a centuries-old war against a group of evil revenants who exist only to murder and betray. Kate soon realizes that if she follows her heart, she may never be safe again.

In this incandescent debut, newcomer Amy Plum has created a powerful paranormal mythology with immortal revenants. The Paris setting comes enchantingly alive as a relentless struggle between good and evil takes place in its streets. Rich with romance, atmosphere, and thrills, Die for Me will leave readers breathlessly awaiting its sequel.~Goodreads

This is an ASTOUNDING book with a unique storyline, sexy romance,  breath-taking setting, and some heart-pounding action! It's definitely a MUST READ!

The characters in this book are so freakin’ amazing and loveable. The main character Kate is so down to earth and easy to relate too! You really get to see her grow as a character through-out the book, which I enjoyed a lot. Then there’s Vincent, ah Vincent, he is just….as sexy as they come! With his good looks, charm and accent I fell for him as quickly as Kate did.  Their relationship is nothing short of adorable and sweet!

The secondary characters bring so much to this story! I think they brought the book to a whole other level. I mean sure we all usually fall for a books MCs, but when the author can bring in more than two secondary characters and make them all unique, humorous and flawed, that’s something special! Jules and Charlotte were my two favorite revenants! Jules is cocky and artsy and never misses an opportunity to hit on Kate! I hope there is a TON more of him in the next one! Then there is Charlotte, who is so sweet and kind but has this vulnerable side & I couldn’t help wanting to just give her a hug! Being the only girl revenant in a house filled with all boys has GOT to be tough!! I really can’t wait to read more about THEM! And we can’t forget about the other revenants, Charles, Ambrose, Gaspard and Jean-Baptiste- they’re like a WAY more awesome and cooler version of The Cullens. New favorite “adoptive” family! :)

So, at this point you might be wondering what exactly a “Revenant” is. Well I would tell you, but I had fun finding out the details as I was reading this magnificent book, so I don’t wanna ruin the mystery and intrigue for you! All I can say is that they are BOMB! Sweet, sweet ass concept, kind of a take on “zombies-turned good-and-sexy!”

The other thing that really hooked and captivated me throughout the whole book was the setting! Amy Plum skips no details while describing the streets and little cafés of Paris. All the descriptions and landmarks she mentioned made me feel as if I was there! Now I’m obsessing over going to Paris! Seriously the setting just made the book so much more magical!

All in all Die For Me was AMAZING!!! You should totally check it out if you’re looking for a new take on paranormal romance!
