Forgotten by Cat Patrick

Forgotten
Forgotten
Author: Cat Patrick
Publisher: Little Brown Books for Young Readers
Pages: 288
Rating: Five Unforgettable Stars!
Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies. ~Goodreads
Dudes, how much it would suck not being able to remember anything that you did yesterday? Nothing. Not what you picked out to wear, not what you ate, what you learned in class or the hot guy you talked to, flirted with and perhaps kissed! Forgotten totally boggled my mind and hooked me from page one!

I felt so bad for London! She’s completely likeable and she's just this genuinely happy person even though she has to deal with this miserable brain re-set every. Single. Day. And although some of her decisions made me want to slap her (umm...why on EARTH would she not mention !*#$@% in her beddy time notes?!?!) I still totally loved her and want to be friends with her! :P

Then we have Mr. Hottie! Aka Luke! *Sighs* Luke...Luke Henry...GAH! He is cute and friendly and compassionate and amazing....it’s basically impossible not to fall for him! He’s so patient with London and has to be one of the most incredible guys ever! Oh, yeah! And he has dimples! *swoons!*

Mysterious, intriguing, romantic, funny and mind-blowing! I couldn’t put this book down until I finished!! Luke and London are adorable together and this book is a must read! I can't wait to read more by Cat! :)

Everneath (Everneath, #1)
He pressed his lips to the base of my neck, and heat rushed to my cheeks. “I love making you turn red,” he whispered.
“It doesn’t take much. We’re in the middle of the hallway.”
“You want to know what else I love?” His tone was playful.
“No,” I said, but he wasn’t listening. He took his fingers and lightly trailed them up my spine, to the back of my neck. Instant goose bumps sprang up all over my body, and I shuddered.
“That.”~ARC Pg. 16
Annnnd for some reason I thought that the next quote was, like, the funniest thing ever!! I laughed so freakin' hard. Okay, go read it and let me know if you pee your pants! :P
“Look, Nik, I know you don’t like public scrutiny lately. If you stand off to the side, all mopey and such, without a date, you’ll stick out like a nun at a strip club.” He leaned in.  “Trust me, I’ve seen one. A nun at a strip club, that is. Everyone was staring at her.”~ARC Pg. 178
HAHAHAHA! oh man....Cole...*wipes tears* he's hilarious! Be sure to pick this book up in January! It's incredible and you will NOT be disappointed!

Shift by Jeri Smith-Ready

Shift (Shade, #2)
Shift (Shade #2)
Author: Jeri Smith-Ready
Publisher: Simon Pulse
Pages: 367
Rating: 5 Stars!
Team: Still LOGAN!! <3 Obviously!
Aura’s life is anything but easy. Her boyfriend, Logan, died, and his slides between ghost and shade have left her reeling. Aura knows he needs her now more than ever. She loves Logan, but she can’t deny her connection with the totally supportive, totally gorgeous Zachary. And she’s not sure that she wants to.

Logan and Zachary will fight to be the one by her side, but Aura needs them both to uncover the mystery of her past—the mystery of the Shift.

As Aura’s search uncovers new truths, she must decide whom to trust with her secrets…and her heart.~Goodreads
Shift...I hated it, I loved it, I kissed it, I punched it. Fer realz.

I didn’t think that this book could even come close to the amazeballness that was Shade—but it was just as mind-blowing! Not only were all the discoveries totally INSANE, but the character developments were amazing!

My advice for when you read Shift: GRAB TISSUES! You WILL cry! (or maybe I’m just weird like that?) Guys, there were so many parts in which I cried because I am a freak. Also because I am IN love with Logan...*SOBS* Logan...I cried at parts that weren't even sad. This book is so heart wrenching, the tears will flow on their own. Uncontrollably.<--once again...maybe that's just me? But even the little details that were in the story added such a HUGE emotional punch. You can not NOT at least sniffle a bit!

One thing I will never understand is how Jeri can put SO MUCH depth into one scene. She is just an incredible, incredible writer. (i luff her a lot...but like...not in a creepy way...)

Oh, i almost forgot to mention that other guy, Zach ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... I’m not even going to say anything about Zachary. I like him just fine (lie)....but Logan is my babe!

Back to the action! The actual Shift is so freakin’ crazy! I want to know everything about it...NOW! I can't wait for Shine & to find out everything that's been undiscovered! But...but...but...i can wait. Because once this series is over i will be SO depressed. It's my ALL TIME favorite! waaaah!

YOU NEED TO PICK UP THIS SERIES IF YOU HAVEN’T!

SQUEEE me loves this COVER

Oh my gosh! OH MY GOSH! OH MY GOSH!! The cover of Until I Die (Revenants #2) was revealed today and EEEEP! It's SO EFFIN' GORGEOUS!! I love, love, LOVE IT!! Die For Me was one of my favoritest books that i read this year, so i'm extremely excited for the sequel! ME NEEDS MORE JULES!! <3 Anyway take a look for yourself and let me know what you think!!

Until I Die (Revenants #2)

*GASP!* It's so pretty, right?!!? Don't you LOVE it!? Don't you want to MARRY it!?! Yep...*sighs* it's perfect!

Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine! And this week i am waiting on:
SlideVee Bell is certain of one irrefutable truth—her sister’s friend Sophie didn’t kill herself. She was murdered.

Vee knows this because she was there. Everyone believes Vee is narcoleptic, but she doesn’t actually fall asleep during these episodes: When she passes out, she slides into somebody else’s mind and experiences the world through that person’s eyes. She’s slid into her sister as she cheated on a math test, into a teacher sneaking a drink before class. She learned the worst about a supposed “friend” when she slid into her during a school dance. But nothing could have prepared Vee for what happens one October night when she slides into the mind of someone holding a bloody knife, standing over Sophie’s slashed body.

Vee desperately wishes she could share her secret, but who would believe her? It sounds so crazy that she can’t bring herself to tell her best friend, Rollins, let alone the police. Even if she could confide in Rollins, he has been acting off lately, more distant, especially now that she’s been spending more time with Zane.

Enmeshed in a terrifying web of secrets, lies, and danger and with no one to turn to, Vee must find a way to unmask the killer before he or she strikes again. ~Goodreads.

Huzzah! I’m in need of a good murder mystery and this sounds like just the book! Sliding into other people’s minds? How effin’ crazy would that be?! The cover is absolutely gorgeous annnnd I’m betting this Zane character will be too! :P

I can’t wait for this one to come out in March!

Dreaming Awake (Falling Under, #2)A red petal floated past me and then another. Slowly, they began falling from the sky like unhurried snow. The black ones were interspersed lightly throughout, but when I put my hand out to catch one, it was heart shaped. ~ARC Page 9
Haden hung his head, raking his fingers through his inky locks. He wore rings on each of his fingers and his nails were painted black. ~ARC Page 121

ZEEEEEP! More Under! SQUEEEEE! More Haden! Man, I love these books... they’re so fantastically amazing. If you haven’t read Falling Under yet, you should really check it out!

Silence by Becca Fitzpatrick

Silence (Hush, Hush, #3)
Silence (Hush, Hush #3)
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing
Pages: 438
Rating: 3.5 Stars!
The noise between Patch and Nora is gone. They've overcome the secrets riddled in Patch's dark past...bridged two irreconcilable worlds...faced heart-wrenching tests of betrayal, loyalty and trust...and all for a love that will transcend the boundary between heaven and earth. Armed with nothing but their absolute faith in one another, Patch and Nora enter a desperate fight to stop a villain who holds the power to shatter everything they've worked for—and their love—forever.~Goodreads

Silence had action, suspense, and a delicious dash of Patch...err...I mean romance! If you loved the first 2 books in the Hush, Hush Saga then this one is definitely a must read!

Oh my Patch! He was so perfect in this book! He was way less cocky (not that I minded his cockiness!) he wasn’t so overbearing (again, not that I minded his protectiveness!) and he was so, so sexy. If there’s one word that comes to mind when I think of Patch, it’s sexy. *sighs* Plus in this book, he wasn't afraid to show his vulnerable side and that made him not only sexy but absolutely adorable! How much he matured stunned me! He finally decided what’s most important to him and what he wants most in life which is, obviously, Nora!

Nora, Nora, Nora! Holy Crap! That poor girl! I can’t believe...I didn’t think...WAIT! WHAT HAPPENED TO HER!? Is this FOR REALZZ?? AH!

I didn’t see any of THIS plot line coming! When I read somewhere that, "the noise between Patch and Nora was gone"...I wasn’t expecting it to be gone gone, like *spoiler* no-memory-of-their-relationship gone! What the hellz!? The first half of the book drove me insane, and it was a tad slow. But then BAM! things get CRAZY! Like CRAZY GOOD! Becca knows how to do a crazy plot twist like nobody’s business!

I can’t say much else without giving the story away...but it was pretty freakin' incredible! I'm super excited to see where the conclusion of this saga will go! HURRAY FOR A 4TH BOOK NEXT FALL!

Oh! And the ending WAS a cliffhanger, but it’s not too terrible! So don’t you even worry! :)

Amber!
Thanks to everyone who entered! I loved all of your answers! Some of you said you'd want the ability to come and go in the painting as you please (me too!) And some of you said you wouldn't even wanna take the risk of getting stuck inside! It all depends on the painting I guess!

Okay and now for the next giveaway: The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater!
The Scorpio RacesIt happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die.

At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them.

Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn’t given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.~Goodreads

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

Lola and the Boy Next Door
Lola and the Boy Next Door
Author: Stephanie Perkins
Publisher: Dutton
Pages: 338
Rating: 5 SPARKLY SPUNKY STARS!
Budding designer Lola Nolan doesn’t believe in fashion . . . she believes in costume. The more expressive the outfit -- more sparkly, more fun, more wild -- the better. But even though Lola’s style is outrageous, she’s a devoted daughter and friend with some big plans for the future. And everything is pretty perfect (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the dreaded Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood.

When Cricket -- a gifted inventor -- steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.~Goodreads
Oh, Lola. I loved her SO FREAKIN' MUCH. I loved her crazy costumes, her wacky wigs, and her bubbly personality! I loved her hopes and dreams and her insecurities and fears...she was just so realWhy on EARTH would she want to be like Calliope!? Calliope was a mean turd! And Lola was just so sparkly and funny and unique and inspiring! I want to be herrr!!

So, I was kind of surprised that Lola was dating someone like Max. I mean, even though I actually liked him while they were together, they never really flew off the page for me. I saw no SPARK...ya know? Lola was just so in love with him and Max barley wanted to put in the effort at Sunday brunch with her family.

Speaking of which, HER DADS!!! OMG! They're probably my favoritest thing about this book! NO. LIE. They were super protective and totally funny and so FREAKIN’ cute! Pretty sure they’re the best parents I’ve ever read about! They should have a spin off! Between them teasing Lola and hounding Max, they always got me to giggle! Yeah- I love, love, love, loved them!

And HOLY SNAP! On the topic of EXTREME love, guess who’s back!!?  YEP! YEP! Yep! Anna and St. Freakin’ Sexy Clair!! YAHOOOOOO!! I almost peed myself with excitement! AH! I heart them so much, gosh why are they so effing amazing together?! ZEEEEP! I was soo happy Lola worked with them! They played an absolutely fantastic roll in the story!

Now, you're probably wondering about the other boy who happens to appear in this wondrous story....Oh. My. Cricket! How freaking awkward and rambly and adorable was he?! Super! Annnnd he was just such a GOOD guy. Perfect for Lola! But oh crap. Member she had a boyfriend!? Daaaaaang!

But that didn’t stop me...errr I mean Lola...from wanting to see Cricket. And when he tells her all these things I got...I mean... Lola got all confused about her feelings and just angst! angst! angst!

Cricket + Lola + Window meetings =
Cricket + Lola + Walks = ♥
Cricket + Lola + Naked Tiger Lady = ♥
Cricket + Lola = ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Picture the perfectest couple ever (soo, basically Anna & St. Clair....) and times their perfect adorableness by 50 million and you'll get Cricket and Lola!

Honestly! Stephanie Perkins knows how to write a FREAKING AMAZING COUPLE!! Her writing is pure brilliance and I think I may be in love with her.....

If you loved Anna and the French Kiss, there is no way you won't love LOLA!! Definitely pick this book up...yesterday!

oh! and sorry about all the "freakings!"
