Slump =\

Guys, i am in the worst slump of my life! It's almost worse than the time this happened to me:

                          ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓

Almost! Not quite as horrible, but *sobs* it's gettin' there!

I haven't read a book in exactly *looks on goodreads* 19 days. *GULP* that makes me nervous! Sure, i've started approximately 7 books and sure, they're all good, but none of them have held my attention. I feel like i need a good contemporary to get me out of this funk. That's what did it the last time! I was in a major slump-age than BAM! I read Forgotten by Cat Patrick, which is like a contemp/romance/mystery/crazy goodness. Yeah, i need a that

I also have this urge (that sounds weird....not that kind of urge...) to re-read a couple of my favsies! But then i feel like that's taking away from the time i could be reading a new book, that i haven't reviewed yet. If that makes any sense?

Somebody slap me! Maybe that'll help. *waits for slap*

nope, that just hurt.

Ugh, what do you do to get out of a AWFUL SLUMP?
HELP MEEEE!

  1. DID BROOKE JUST SAY CONTEMPORARY?! who are you?

    hahahaaha.

I <3 you! Don't worry we all get in them. Just let it play its course. You'll eventually open up a book and won't be able to put it down.

    <333333 you.

  3. Okay, I have a book for you! Its a contemporary pretty mature YA, but it is basically book crack!!!! Seriously!!! Its called Beautiful Disaster by Jamie Mcguire. Seriously, I just read this, and as soon as I was finished I read it again! Then went back for a 3rd time & read all my favorite parts! Its an ebook only, kindle or nook, so hopefully you have one of those or an app you can read it on! Here is the link:

Trust me Brooke this will help!!! If it doesn't then its time for life- support!!! Love you girlie, hang in there!!!

  5. I totally get what you mean! Whenever I'm in the mood to read one of my favorite books, my mind is just like, "But look at that huge pile of books you HAVEN'T read!"

One of the books that got me out of my latest reading slump was The DUFF by Kody Keplinger. Timeless by Alexandra Monir is also really good!

  6. I know where you're coming from. I normally bang on a cd from my favourite band of all time, BUSTED! and ready one of my favourite books that I know I can easily get through in a day, 2 days top. This helps me part out of my slump and into a better mood to ready one of the books in my pile of to be read.

The last new book I read to get me out of my slump was Finding Sky by Joss Stirling.

  8. Re-reading is so not a waste of time. Sometimes I find that reading an old favorite is just what needs to be done every now and again.

Contemporary...umm, yeah I have no idea.

  14. With great blogging comes great reading slumps.

    Profound, I know.

Mine lasted 6 months!! EEK. Don't worry about it and if it's really that bad - don't read. I know it sounds weird but sometimes we all read to much and you need to clear your head.

And WHAT??? You haven't read the Duff yet? Are you sure you're MY wife? MY wife would have read The Duff.
