Team: Tucker! (because he smells like oreos!)
In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees . . . .

Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.

Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.

As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make—between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?

Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.~Goodreads

This book was so fantastically written i could not put it down! The characters were all so well developed and their personalities  sparkled with glory *Wink!* It had the perfect mix of suspense, mythology and romance!

Clara was awesome! She was funny & real. The relationship with her mom is such a typical teenage girl-mother relationship it impossible not to relate to it! Clara has a clear and sharp voice that had me flipping through the pages!

Then the romance, OH-MY-SQUEE! I thought i was going to be a Christian girl from the start! I mean i was already hooked with the whole "In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees." ..... "his dark hair curling damply against his neck." HOT! Right?!

But wait! Then we meet Tucker! From the very first moment he calls Clara "Carrots" i was in love! He is sarcastic & cute & funny & cute & a cowboy & cute! The scenes with him literally jump off the page! The chapters flew when he was in them, i could not get enough!

One thing I really liked was that Tucker and Clara started out as friends, which was adorable! Then this thing happens in the barn...and all i could say was "ABOUT DANG TIME!" In the scenes that follow the...ehem barn incident, Clara really opened up to Tucker & didn't keep him in the dark. She wasn't afraid to take a risk and that added another facet to her character! and it didn't hurt that Tucker was so accepting & cute & i didn't think i could love him any more! Still not sold on Team Tucker!? Read the chapter entitled Tucker Me Out...and you're sure to fall for him too!

the ending...TALK ABOUT A HUGE TWIST! Holy crap! Did you see that ending coming?! No?! Me either! Eeeep! It's got me eagerly awaiting the next installment! Great Debut! Check it out!
